Terry was born and raised in South Florida where kids could roam free. As a young girl, bicycling was a form of freedom to explore Miami just as riding horseback was her way of exploring the Everglades.
Her mountain biking career started in 2004 when she went on a mountain biking tour of Wales with her future husband, Mike. This experience inspired her to advocate for mountain biking in the community of Ellijay, GA.
As the past president of the Ellijay Mountain Bike Association, the office manager for the Cartecay River Bicycle Shop, and now, the Southern Off-Road Bicycle Association Associate Director and prominent member of the Southeastern Trust for Parks and Land’s Board of Directors things are never slow in Terry’s world, but she always makes plenty of time to offer her expertise and to help us grow outdoor recreational communities throughout the Southeast.
