Appalachian hardwood forest

This tract of land consists of typical Appalachian hardwood forest and is generally bounded by small landowners and rural woodland/farmland tracts. The Property is bordered by some rental cabins to the west and has two small inholdings.  One of these is a defunct youth camp (15.6 acres) and the other is a private dwelling (2.8 acres). The tract would originally have consisted of a mix of mixed hardwood and hardwood pine on the ridges trending into a mesic hardwood forest along the stream drains. The most distinctive features of the property are the hardwood forests leading to and joining the riparian areas.

The property is approximately 32% hardwood forest, 54% hardwood/pine forest, and 14% mature pine. The property is mountainous and varies from 1,800 – 2,400 feet above MSL in elevation. The highest areas are on the north and west side of the Property along the slopes of Prince Mountain. The lowest areas are along the Fightingtown Creek drainage on the east and central areas of the Property.
