Charles McMillan is the Coastal Director for the Georgia Conservancy. Charles has previously served on the Georgia Conservancy’s Board of Trustees and for a number of years chaired Blueprints Partners, an advisory group to the Conservancy’s Blueprints for Successful Communities program.
For 25 years McMillan was the founder and President of AEC, Inc., a Roswell-based civil and environmental engineering firm that specializes in land planning, landscape architecture and environmental restoration and mitigation across Georgia.
In early 2015, he left AEC and has been with the Georgia Conservancy working in land conservation throughout the State.
A native of Brunswick, Georgia, he received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Vanderbilt University and completed a Graduate Certificate in Ecological Restoration at the University of Florida School of Forestry, in 2015.
As Coastal Director, McMillan leads the coastal focused work of the Georgia Conservancy from its office in Savannah.
