It all started with a random thought in November of 2011.

“I wonder how hard it would be to create a new park near our neighborhood?”
Responding to the need for the preservation of undeveloped land.

The Southeastern Trust for Parks and Land is a 501-C-3 public charity located in Avondale Estates, Georgia. We are responding to the need for the preservation of undeveloped land and making it available for responsible use for public recreation, science education, plant and wildlife habitat, and the quiet enjoyment of nature. We are dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of wetlands, agricultural, urban, suburban and rural land.

We are an active resource in land preservation.

As our name indicates we are an active resource in land preservation and active usage spreading across the southeastern United States. We are a non-profit organization that relies on public support in the form of conservation endowment fees, privately and publicly funded grants, and financial contributions from individuals and community groups. We engage in relationships with other non-profit community groups to further the impact of our efforts.

Mission Statement

Southeastern Trust for Parks and Land makes use of natural land to foster natural land conservation; environmental stewardship; science education and research; and public recreation for the benefit of individuals and communities.
